Reduce, REUSE, and Recycle

This winter, I've decided to add an item to my product line that reflects my desire to preserve the environment and fight global warming. I'm going to begin selling container candles using recycled glass containers and other miscellaneous items I've collected that would otherwise end up in the trash.

Glass production releases extremely harmful fossil fuels into the air, thus I'd like to offer my customers an additional way to reuse and recycle their glass. Collect your glass jars and send them to me. For every 6 "new" jars you give me to turn into candles, I'll send you one back for free. If you clean out your container candles after your finished burning them, I'll "refill" them for you at half price. (I recommend floating the container in a warm bath to help loosen stubborn wax.) Together we can lessen the carbon footprint caused by glass production.

Fall Candles for Midnight Sun

New fall candles are headed to Midnight Sun today. The green candles are scented with Bayberry Apple Spice, the reds with Black Tea, the tans with Rustic Woods, and the purples with the ever popular Love Spell and Pomegranate scent. I am also sending two new candle shapes to add to my array of smaller candles - the short oval pillar and the short rectangle pillar. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Local Support is Priceless

It's not easy to work your way to the top when the opponent has mass marketing abilities you can never match as a struggling sole proprietor. This is why I am especially thankful to live in a town that loves to support the "little guy". Not every town has a plentiful supply of locally owned retail stores that aren't tied to specific preordained product lines. Without these venues, my company's public exposure and income potential would greatly diminish as I'd be left with (1) the internet, where there is WAY too much competition, and (2) craft fairs, which are expensive and time consuming. And so, tonight I'd like to thank all the web surfers and store owners who seek out handmade products, especially Midnight Sun, who placed an order for fall candles today.

You can look for my freshest batch of candles in town late next week at:
